Rhythms for Dancers: Tuesdays from 7:15 to 8:15 PM, 3 weeks (October 3, 17, 24; NO CLASSES 10/10) $38/session, $15/drop (plus PayPal fee when paying online)

Knowledge and identification of rhythms is important for dancers of all levels! Whether you are brand new or well-versed in belly dance music, you'll get a lot from this series. Each week, we will focus on a small handful of related rhythms, listening to the foundation of each rhythm and learning its origin and where it is frequently used. Then we will add on dance technique and steps that are frequently paired with the rhythm. There will be no "tests": the point of this isn't stressing about memorizing rhythms and their names, more to start familiarizing with the words and movements that we see regularly. Feel free to bring a drum or cymbals if you have them, but they are not required!

Prereq: Some experience with belly dance is recommended.
