Egyptian Raqs Sharqi Intensive (232): Sundays from 6:15 to 7:15 PM, 6 weeks (November 5, 12, 19, 26, Dec 3, 10). $80/session, $15/single (plus Paypal fee when paying online).
Learn the history and roots of Egyptian Raqs Sharqi, important dancers to know, elements that comprise a typical Egyptian show, essential technique and musicality. This style of dancing is the foundation for belly dance and knowledge and understanding of Raqs Sharqi is essential to all dancers. Due to the specificity of technique and terminology, this class is reserved for dancers with three or more years of regular belly classes.
