Are you ready to raqs? There are a LOT of performance opportunites coming up this summer and fall, from studio haflas to KC Raqs to Haflaween. Put your best foot forward and join us at Performance Lab!

WHAT IS PERFORMANCE LAB? Simply, this is an opportunity to hone your performance skills. Each participant has the opportunity to "perform" for your peers (this could be as complex as a choreographed solo in costume, improvisation to a favorite song, or simply sharing a combination you've created). Treat it as a dress rehearsal, a feedback session, or just watch your friends dance! Each performer will get structured feedback from Rahil, and as much advice and troubleshooting on their performance particulars as they want. Even spectators will get the opportunity to learn through observation, question and answer, and performance skill drills (as time allows each week). These skills include topics like: engaging with your audience; making an entrance; stage patterns; variations to spice up your combo; musicality 101.

How do I sign up? There are three dates to choose from: 6/13, 6/20, and 6/27! Or sign up for all three! In order for each week's lab to happen, there must be THREE participants signed up to perform (on the registration form, you'll see the option to request specific dates). Sign up early to insure you get the date you want! (I will refund you or transfer your enrollment to another date if your first date choice doesn't happen.) Cost is $20 to perform or $10 to watch and take the class (weekly). Sorry, this event is IN PERSON ONLY!
