Rahil's 2020 Collective Cast

Due to the overwhelming popularity of my annual collective choreography sessions, I have decided to expand! This year, in an effort to allow as many participants as possible, I will be producing an entire show with group pieces that I choreograph and teach.  PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY AS IT MAY DETERMINE YOUR ABILITY TO PARTICIPATE.

First and foremost, this is a major undertaking for me, in both time and money. My expectation is that all participants will attend ALL meetings and practices. There will be NO make-up sessions to learn missed choreography. When you fill out the registration form, please give an honest assessment of your abilities to dedicate time and learn dances. This is not a "student" show and I will hold all performers to professional expectations. Your answers will help me determine how many choreographies to assign to you. Each choreography varies in difficulty and your placement will be based on both experience level and time dedication. Your answers regarding "time of year" will also help me match you with a choreography you can successfully learn.

This event pertains to our first meeting during which I will explain my vision for the show, give you your choreography assignments/options, and give you all the practice dates relevant to your choreography. ANYONE HOPING TO JOIN THE CAST MUST BE AT THIS MEETING. I will contact you prior to the meeting regarding practice dates early in the year, so you can check your calendars. If you haven't heard from me by Christmas, please send me a message to be sure I have you on the list!

Other important dates that will be mandatory for performers: Our all-cast dress rehearsal is tentatively on December 5th. The show is tentatively December 12th. These dates will be solidified once I reserve the venue. 

We will do "teasers" (the show's introductory number which includes all cast members) at KC Raqs in August and Haflaween in October. In order to perform the teaser at KC Raqs, you must sign up for at least one of the weekend's workshops. There will be dress rehearsals for each of these performances as well.
